Description

You park the car near the church and the elementary school in downtown S. After about 1 km you cross the village of St. Cristina and the bridge over the Rio Cisles . The route, marked by an old stone-mile of the railway (km 27), continues in high, light and steady climb above the valley ground and the road of the Dolomites. After about 4 km you enter the village of Selva Gardena at the sports stadium . The walk continues after 600 meters and ends in front of the “Casa Alpina DLF”, run by the Dopolavoro Ferroviario of Bologna, the former terminus of the railway of the Val Gardena valley . Follow the same itinerary to get back to the car park.
