proceed in a westerly direction until the underpass of the highway Alemagna. Here we take the left street with limited traffic, that follows the route of the old railway to Cortina. The route leads to the eastern shore of Lake Dobbiaco, in moderate slope. The walk goes along the lake to the area where the arms of the river Rienza flow into the lake. Continue a short distance from the road Alemagna up to the sources of Rienza, near which lies the cemetery of the Austro-Hungarian Fallen of Monte Piana
. Go back the same way, after about 2.5 km
take the forest road which, after the Rienza, leads to the ruins of an old steel plant. Continuing along the western shore of Lake Dobbiaco, go to the Seehotel
and return to the starting point.
