The holiday resort La Villa (1.436 m a.s.l.) lies at the foot of the Gardenazza, the Piz La Villa and the nature park Puez-Odle and is an international tourist centre of Alta Badia. The area has become known internationally because of the World Cup race “Gran Risa”, taking place once a year that attracts thousands of spectators.

The historic centre with the church of this former farming village lies a little offside and on a Dolomite cliff far-off you can find the Gothic walls of the “Gran Ciasa“, a beautiful castle of the Middle Ages with two succinct round and two rectangular towers. The castle started to decay in the middle of the 18th century but since the 80ies restoration works have been started. Today the castle houses a luxury hotel and a restaurant with modern cuisine using traditional products and recipes.
In summer La villa is an ideal starting point for easy walks with  a wonderful view on the magnificent  Dolomite peaks.

Pedraces (1.315 m. a. s. l.) is a quiet village, it is connected to La Villa and from here with Corvara and other holiday resorts of the Sella Round. The ski resort is famous for its Holy Cross church that thrones in the middle of the forest among the slopes and has a wonderful mountain scenery behind it.
